Practice 7. Priority Matrix¶
This page helps you turn a long list of possible changes into a clear, manageable plan.
The matrix sorts changes by importance and urgency, making it easier to decide what to act on now and what can wait.
You’ll need: pen, paper (or this page)
Time: 15–20 minutes
Use when:
- You feel overwhelmed by too many changes
- You want to agree on what to tackle first
- You need to balance urgent tasks with long-term goals
| Important and urgent (do immediately) |
Important but not urgent (plan and schedule) |
| Not important but urgent (delegate or minimize) |
Not important and not urgent (discard) |
Tips:
- Start with 3–5 key changes. This avoids overload and keeps focus.
- Revisit this matrix regularly — priorities shift as life changes.
- Be realistic: some “urgent” things may not be important at all.
Outcome: A shared focus on what matters most right now, and a calmer plan for what can wait.
